Born in Burnley, Lancashire UK on October 23rd 1949 and educated Burnley Grammar School from 1961 through 1968...........
Love of Music started from hearing first The Shadows and then The Beatles on Television singing " Love Me Do "
Did the usual Bands with friends , then having left school roamed up and down the M6 in a Transit Van for three years looking for somewhere to play,decided then to " go it alone " and toured around the Northern Pubs and Clubs for years and years and years and years ............. ( with an unsuccessful audition Demo for The Hollies in 1971 thrown in ....! )
My influences were as mentioned above , The Fab Four, The Hollies , the Beachboys and of course The Eagles from the mid 70's ... If you see a pattern forming here , you'd be right......I love Harmonies in Music and find it very difficult to listen to any Melody without mentally working out a couple or three harmonies to sing along with it........that's why ALL vocals on my more recent recordings , including harmonies and backing are done by yours truly........ ( apart from anything else it's cheaper to do it this way in the Studio and if it doesn't sound too good then I've only myself to blame !! ).
Over the years I've recorded probably 60 or 70 tracks but in the past 10 years I have made a point of searching out songs from Albums.....songs that maybe most people won't have heard before.......all " covers " I know , but not your usual and everyday re-workings.....and I'm always open to suggestions ..........!!
